About us

Legacy believes that to become the best beach volleyball player possible, you need to fall in-love with the sport. You need to wake up in the morning excited to go to beach training. Legacy takes pride in instilling an uncanny love and passion for the game in the athlete. How does Legacy do this? The lead coaches are all former Team Canada Beach Volleyball athletes that are hyper passionate about the sport. The energy the coaches bring to the training sessions resonates with the athletes which gets them performing at their best.

Legacy is an elite and developmental Beach Volleyball Club founded by Reid Hall and Adam Podstawka. Reid and Adam were an undersized team for 10 years that had significant success on the sand. They have always believed in the motto… it is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog.

Legacy beach volleyball club is now on its third season and has had tremendous success. There have been multiple teams finishing near the top in their age divisions provincially. Legacy has become the premier beach volleyball club in Burlington and Hamilton.

Will beach volleyball help my son/daughter’s indoor volleyball game?

An Answer from John Kessel, regarded as one of the most influential coaches of all time. Currently holds the position of Director of Sport Development for USA Volleyball.
“training in random ways helps players solve new situations better and helps them retain what they have learned better and longer. I can think of no better situation for random experiences in gamelike ways than outdoor doubles volleyball. You are playing with a different ball, covering half or more of the court yourself, with the sun, wind and uneven court surfaces and changing sides every four to five points scored.” – Play Better Indoors… Through Outdoor Competition.
